Mother Spent $57,000 To Look Like Daughter (Video)

A mother spent more than $57,000 in cosmetic surgery and beauty treatments to look like her daughter (video below).

Janet Horrocks, 57, and her daughter, Jane Cunliffe, 37, are frequently mistaken for sisters, according to the Mirror.

Horrocks spent more than $11,000 on two breast augmentation surgeries, more than $2,100 for eyebrow tattoos, about $14,000 in hair extensions, and almost $10,000 in Botox and fillers throughout the years, reports the Daily Mail. She lost almost 30 pounds and went from a size 10 to a size 4.

"When people mistake Jane and I as sisters, I feel great about myself,” Horrocks said. "I feel on top of the world. It makes me think that all the money I spent was worth every penny."

Horrocks began her transformation in 2001, a year before she divorced Cunliffe’s father.

"I'd put on weight and I felt dowdy and unattractive," Horrocks told the Daily Mail. "I remember looking at Jane and thinking, "I used to have a figure like yours.'"

Eventually, she told her daughter about her plans to look like her. Cunliffe was not pleased.

"When I first told her my new look was based on her, she was shocked and couldn't understand why a mum would want to look like her daughter," she said.

As more people began to mistake the two as sisters, Cunliffe’s self-esteem began to suffer and she no longer wanted to be seen in public with her mother.

"I worried that eventually she’d look younger than me and it was upsetting because a daughter shouldn’t look older than her mother," Cunliffe said. "I felt like my youth had been taken away and it didn’t feel fair."

"The way I see it, she got her looks from me anyway so she can't really complain," Horrocks reasoned.

Although Cunliffe has adjusted to her mother’s new look, and she is now close to her mother, she is opposed to cosmetic surgery and plans to age gracefully.

Horrocks, on the other hand, said that cosmetic surgery and Botox have forever changed her life.

"I don't want to die a wrinkly old woman, I'll be having that needle on my death bed," Horrocks said.
