Man Mauled To Death By Tiger At Zoo (Video)

A Chinese man has died after being mauled by a tiger at a zoo (video below).

The disturbing video shows a man being mauled by a tiger at the Youngor Wildlife Park in the city of Ningbo, the Daily Mail reports. At one point, two other tigers appear and watch as the predator drags the man under a tree and sinks its teeth into his neck.

The victim's wife and child watched in horror as the tiger dragged the man all throughout the enclosure. Zoo visitors alerted staff of the situation shortly after the man was attacked, but it took staff about an hour to free the man from the tiger's grip, according to local media.

Zoo staff eventually drove the tigers away by using firecrackers and a water cannon, Beijing Youth Daily reported, according to the Daily Mail. One of the tigers was shot dead by local forestry bureau staff. The man was then rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.

"I saw the tiger mauling the person, whose face was covered with blood," one witness told reporters. "Every time he sat up, the tiger pushed him down again."

The victim's identity was not released. He was attacked after he climbed over the fence of the enclosure and approached a tiger who was being fed by zoo staff, says Beijing Youth Daily via Daily Mail.

The Youngor Wildlife Park was closed at 3 p.m. The local forestry bureau staff arrived shortly after.
