Canadian wildfire forces largest evacuation in the history of the Alberta province. Alberta declared a state of emergency last Wednesday. Nearly 90,000 Fort McMurray residents had to leave everything to escape the flames. The fire has now shut down the only route out of the city. Evacuees who didn’t make it out are taking shelter in northern settlements. So far, the fire has consumed 210,000 acres of land and completely shut down oil production in the area. Rona Ambrose says, "It’s a tough day for Albertans but we will persevere."
