A woman who fled ISIS in Iraq revealed that militants used a metal torture device known as the "biter" on her because she wasn't wearing gloves while she was out in public.
The woman, a former school teacher named Fatima, said the terrorist organization used the device -- a metal clamp similar to a hunting trap -- to cut her flesh and cause what she described as pain that was "worse than childbirth."
"The Biter has become a nightmare for us. My sister was punished so harshly last month because she had forgotten her gloves and left them at home," she told The Independent.
"The bruises and scars are still visible on her arm. She said the biting punishment is more painful than labor."
Fatima fled the terrorist group after it started becoming increasingly violent over the past year and she was unable to get enough food to feed her children.
Another woman similarly spoke out about the biter in 2014, saying ISIS militants used it on her after she tried to breast-feed her baby.
