A German flight attendant adopted a stray dog after it spent months waiting for her outside of her hotel.
Olivia Sievers met Rubio in January in Buenos Aires, the Daily Mail reported. She befriended the stray dog and eventually adopted him.
“I met him in January or February this year when I was in Buenos Aires,” Sievers told Noticiero Trece. “I was walking around very early in the morning, we played and I had some dog food.”
Ever since that day, Rubio never forgot about Sievers. The dog would follow Sievers to her hotel and wait for her.
“I tried to change my way as I didn't want him to follow me to the hotel but it was not possible. He always followed me so I tried [to wait] one hour but he always watched me and followed me,” Sievers explained.
Sievers said she didn’t mind Rubio following her. She said the dog was just “really happy that someone gave him attention.”
“This dog really wants some friend and some attention, really he's always looking for a human,” she said.
Whenever Sievers returned to Buenos Aires, Rubio was right there waiting for her. She tried finding him a home, but the dog ran away and returned to her hotel.
Sievers eventually decided to take Rubio home to Germany. She said the dog was “perfectly treated at Lufthansa Animal Lounge” while she filed his paperwork.
Sievers shared photos and updates on Facebook and Rubio appears to be loving his new home.
