Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani believes Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is responsible for creating the terrorist organization ISIS (video below).
"She helped create ISIS,” Giuliani said March 23 to Bill O'Reilly, host of "The O’Reilly Factor." "Hillary Clinton could be considered a founding member of ISIS."
Giuliani’s claims of Clinton’s involvement in ISIS’ rise stem from her time as secretary of state under President Obama:
By being part of an administration that withdrew from Iraq. By being part of an administration that let [former Prime Minister Nouri al-] Maliki run Iraq into the ground, so you forced the Shiites to make a choice. By not intervening in Syria at the proper time. By being part of an administration that drew 12 lines in the sand and made a joke out of it.
O’Reilly told Giuliani that Clinton was not in a position to force policy on Obama while serving in his administration, and that to not be a part of its decisions would have meant resigning from her post.
“Yeah — which is what a patriot does,” Giuliani replied.
Giuliani is reportedly leaning toward endorsing Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for the White House.
“The way I look at it, there really are only three people who will be the next president of the United States. One’s Hillary Clinton, the other’s Donald Trump, and the third is Ted Cruz,” Giuliani said March 21 at an event hosted by the Columbia University College Republicans, according to Politico New York.
Giuliani made it very clear that of the three, he will not choose Clinton.
“So I’ll choose between those three," he said. "I’ll give you a hint: it won’t be Hillary Clinton. I seriously doubt it will be Ted Cruz. But I just want to think about it a little bit more before I do anything formally."
