Putin: Russian Prostitutes The Best, But Not For Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed doubt regarding unproven allegations that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump cavorted with Russian prostitutes, whom Putin went on to describe as "the best in the world."

Putin made the Borat-like statement on Jan. 17 during an interview with journalists in the Kremlin, notes Bloomberg Politics.

Christopher Steele, a former British spy with the U.K.'s MI6, put together a 35-page dossier on Trump for Trump's political opponents -- anti-Trump Republicans and Democrats -- that made the prostitute allegations, notes The Telegraph. Steele fled his home on Jan. 11 because he believed it was only a matter of time before he was outed as the source of the controversial documents.

The documents, published by BuzzFeed News on Jan. 10, claimed that Trump enjoyed the company of prostitutes at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Moscow, and that the hookers performed a "golden showers" urine-soaked show.

The point of the memos was to allege that the Russian government had compromising material on Trump that could possibly be used to blackmail him. However, Trump and his transition team have repeatedly denied the dossier's assertions.

Putin called the claims about Trump "obvious fabrications," and added: "People who order fakes of the type now circulating against the U.S. president-elect, who concoct them and use them in a political battle, are worse than prostitutes because they don’t have any moral boundaries at all."

Putin insisted that it was "complete nonsense" that Russian security services "chase after every American billionaire."

Trump was reportedly in Moscow in 2013 for his Miss Universe contest, but was unsuccessful in his efforts to meet Putin at the time.

Putin went on to brag about Russian hookers:

[Trump is] a grown man, and secondly he’s someone who has been involved with beauty contests for many years and has met the most beautiful women in the world. I find it hard to believe that he rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world.
