Photographer Harry Perton was lucky enough to capture an unusual object in the sky: a supposed “jellyfish UFO.”
Perton reportedly noticed the "UFO," which is named for a jellyfish because of its shape, when he returned home after taking pictures of a storm in Groningen, Netherlands.
“I was taking photos and suddenly something flashed,” Perton said, according to Metro. “I decided it must have been a strike of lightning – but back at home I saw something strange in one of the photos that I took – what looked like a UFO.”
Perton’s image features a glowing green light in the night sky. Though there has been a discussion among Internet users about what it could be, including a suggestion that the object is merely a lens flare, Perton argued on his blog that the object is probably meteorological and not an alien.
A similar photo was taken in 2010 by a photographer in Andenesm, Norway. It featured a parachute-like jellyfish figure near the Northern Lights.
