A photo of a baby goat with human-like features has gone viral.
The baby goat was discovered in a farm in Malaysia, The Star reported. Felda settler Ibrahim Basir, 63, handed the carcass over to the Veterinary Services Department, which is now investigating what the carcass could actually be.
Basir said he was shocked when he saw the baby goat. He said on April 22, his business partner, Jamaludin Abdul Samad, 50, informed him the baby goat had the features of a human baby.
"When I went to check, I was quite shocked but fascinated too as its face, nose, short legs and even the condition of its soft body seemed like a human baby, but the light brown fur covering its whole body resembles that of a goat," Basir said, according to The Star.
Basir said the goat did not have an umbilical cord and that it was already dead when they found it. He believes it was either trampled by its mother or died due to other complications.
"We kept the kid’s carcass in a polystyrene box filled with ice cubes before taking it to the district veterinary office at around noon [April 23]," Basir added.
This isn’t the first time a goat with human-like features has been discovered.
In 2014, a farming family in Argentina was accused of bestiality after one of their goats gave birth to a baby with a human face, the Daily Mirror reported.
Olga Villalba refuted those allegations.
"It was dead when it was born, we just want to get rid of it as quickly as possible so we buried it in a hole in the ground," Villalba said, according to the Daily Mirror. "It was clearly a genetic mutation caused by the excessive use of pesticides.
"Another neighbor who was here and was curious took a picture which they unfortunately posted online sparking these ridiculous allegations."
