Tomas Berdych delivered a 121 mph serve at the Australian Open that accidentally hit a line umpire in the groin on Jan. 26 (video below).
Berdych was serving to Roger Federer in the quarterfinals when the ball went up the middle of the court and bounced into the groin of the umpire, notes CBS Sports.
Spectators let out a collective groan during the incident and even a louder one with the TV announcers during the replay.
A ball boy was hit in the same sensitive area on Jan. 23 by a ball served by Feliciano Lopez, noted The Guardian.
Lopez asked the young man if he was OK and helped escort him off the court.
