Giant Sinkhole Grows Larger, Eats Up Houses (Video)

A growing sinkhole near Solikamsk, Perm Krai, Russia, was recently caught on video (below) by a drone.

The sinkhole first appeared in November 2014 and was 98 feet wide, but has grown to 410 feet wide and an estimated 246 feet deep.

The sinkhole has already swallowed up homes, and there appear to be more houses near its edge.

The sinkhole is believed to have been caused by underground flooding at a nearby mine, which the miners escaped, noted the Russia Trek travel blog.
