Two giant cranes recently tipped over and collapsed while trying to restore part of the Juliana Bridge in Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands (video below).
A large group of spectators gathered on Monday to watch the cranes carry a massive steel ramp, which brought the machinery down.
"You see the cloud of dust rise - that is a terrible image and you think: 'Who is under there?' You can't believe what you see," Dick van Smirren, a witness who filmed the incident, told the Dutch news broadcaster NOS, reports the BBC.
About 20 people were injured when the cranes fell onto nearby shops and houses, notes The Guardian.
Local fire department spokesperson Ton Koot said that only one victim had been hospitalized.
