A former al-Qaida member warned a terrorist attack will likely occur in the next two weeks.
Morten Storm, a former member of al-Qaida in Yemen who later became a CIA double agent, told Fox News on Nov. 17 that he believes there is an impending attack, TheBlaze reports.
“The people who are on the run at the moment from [Islamic State group] in Europe are very desperate, and they know their time’s up, and they will need to do as much damage as possible," Storm said.
When asked if an attack similar to those in Paris, which left 132 dead, could occur on U.S. soil, Storm said it would be a "bit difficult" due to the country's security measures.
“And I also believe that copycats in America will do their best to do what their brothers have done in Europe,” Storm said.
The Guardian reports that strict travel restrictions and geography, coupled with the government's funding of screening, surveillance and security, would make it difficult for would-be terrorist to enter the U.S. without the government's knowledge.
