Bloody Brawl At Costco Over Parking Space (Video)

Some unidentified Costco shoppers came to blows over a parking space May 28 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The fight was filmed (video below) by another shopper, Joe Carreiro.

"I was just doing some shopping, and all of a sudden there was a lot of screaming and yelling," Carreiro told CBC News.

According to Carreiro, the shoppers moved their cars after the initial verbal confrontation, but "they came back to the middle of the parking lot and started again. It wasn't long before they started whaling on each other."

The video includes plenty of cursing, shoving and punches between two men, two women, and the men and women.

Before posting his video on YouTube, where it has almost one million views, Carreiro showed the footage to police.

"[O]fficers are still investigating, and will be speaking with witnesses and examining video ... [and] determining whether an offense occurred," Peel Regional Police spokeswoman Const. Rachel Gibbs stated.

There were no serious injuries from the brawl, but one man with a head wound is seen on the video being treated by a Costco employee. The video ends with women from both sides on their cell phones.

According to The Hamilton Spectator, police interviewed the people involved, decided not to press charges, but did warn the adults about their behavior.

Back in the U.S., there was a wild brawl over a parking space at the Houston Zoo in April.

Linda Padilla, a witness who filmed the fight, told KTRK that a woman got out of a car and ran to an empty spot to save it for her party.

However, there were several cars ahead of that car. Another driver tried to take the spot and the woman, who was saving the spot, hit the second car.

The driver of the second car got out of her vehicle and the fight was on. Other women were involved in the brawl, which included punches and hair-pulling. During the fight, one woman tried to save the spot with a baby stroller.

By the time police came to the scene, one of the parties had left.
