Ugly Meter Phone App Rates Ugliness

The Ugly Meter app, which claims to rate the ugliness of individuals after scanning their faces, has created a controversy (video below).

The app rates ugliness based on facial features, such as the size of a nose and the distance between someone's eyes.

Ugly Meter co-creator Jo Overline explained: "How you do your hair and whether you have a beard or not, those things don't matter. This is facial structure, so, unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it.  You are what you are."

Critics say the app is offensive, but the creators say the app is meant to be fun and it shouldn’t be taken seriously.

The regular version of the app costs 99 cents, while an upgraded version is $5. It is available for iPhones and Androids; use at your own risk!
