Pax Dickinson Resigns as Business Insider CTO after Controversial Tweets

Business Insider chief-technology officer Pax Dickinson was forced to resign on Tuesday after being called out on a stream of offensive tweets. Public outry began on Momday, and by Tuesday Dickinson was out of a job.

A smattering of Dickinson’s handiwork:

In The Passion Of The Christ 2, Jesus gets raped by a pack of niggers. It's his own fault for dressing like a whore though.

Who has more dedication, ambition, and drive? Kobe only raped one girl, Lebron raped an entire city. +1 for Lebron.

So he's a woman, but he still has Y chromosomes? now who doesn't understand how biology works?

Daddy needs you to show your breasts on TV to protest the patriarchy, baby. You wanna make daddy happy, don’t you?

IMO if gay activists protest the Olympics in Russia it's going to get VERY ugly. They think its just a game but Putin knows the real stakes.

Over the course of his tweets, the aptly named Dickinson managed to offend women, homosexuals, sports fans and even programmers.

The scorned CTO even lashed out against tech writer Anil Dash, inviting him to "come call me an asshole to my face tomorrow."

Despite the warning on Dickinson’s profile reading "my views on Twitter do not reflect those of my employer," and "Unprofessional opinions not endorsed by anyone respectable," Business Insider CEO Henry Blodget chose to respond swiftly to the insulting tweets, stating, "Pax was speaking for himself, not Business Insider. We obviously don't condone what he said. What happened between Monday evening and Tuesday morning that prompted a forced resignation is unclear.”

Blodget released an official statement on the matter, reading:

A Business Insider executive has made some comments on Twitter that do not reflect our values and have no place at our company. The executive has left the company, effective immediately.

Business Insider's team is composed of more than 100 talented men and women of many backgrounds, and we highly value this diversity.
