Memphis Grizzlies' Zach Randolph Implicated in Marijuana Ring

Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph could be in some major hot water (as opposed to minor hot water?). He is being implicated in a big-time Indianapolis drug investigation in which a police informant has informed police (that’s what informants do) that Randolph is a major supplier of marijuana in the Indianapolis area.

We guess the final two years of his contract that pay him $33 million just aren’t enough to pay for a mortgage in Memphis.

32-year old Arthur Boyd was pulled over in “his” Cadillac Escalade after the cops checked out his house for about two weeks. The vehicle is registered to Randolph and contained ammunition and pot.

The police were led to a storage facility where Randolph rents four lockers. Police dogs found controlled substances in two of the four lockers.

Randolph’s attorney told 6News that his client is not associated with any drug activity, which means all of this must not be true. Why didn’t he just come out and say that in the first place?

This isn’t the first time Mr. Randolph has run into the business end of the law. He has a conviction on battery charges from 1997. He was also caught selling a stolen firearm back in 1999. In 2002, he was charged with underage drinking. And then of course last year he came down with a case of the DUI’s in Los Angeles.

As of right now, Randolph has not been arrested or charged in the drug investigation.
