Who Will Shine at UFC 144: Edgar vs. Henderson?

This weekend, UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar will put his title on the line against the surging Ben Henderson in the main event of UFC 144, which is to take place in Japan at the Saitama Super Arena.

The fight has the makings to be yet another epic title battle at 155-pounds and the MMA community seems torn on who they think will win. Spencer Lazara for MMAInterviews polled a smattering of Edgar and Bendo's pro fighter peers to get their take. You can read a few below and then catch more from guys like Martin Kampmann and Josh Koscheck in the video at the end of the post.

UFC 144 goes down this Saturday and FightLine will be back as always with our live, ongoing coverage of the fights.

Jake Ellenberger: Ben Henderson is gonna be a tough guy to beat. But, then again, I mean, we've seen Frankie, he keeps proving people wrong, too. You know, I could see Frankie by decision maybe, but, again, I wouldn't be surprised if Ben won too. He's a hard guy to control, he's a hard guy to fight in general. Man, I'm excited to watch that fight.

Randy Couture: You gotta go with the champ in that one. I think Frankie Edgar is the man. I've been very, very impressed with him and he's such a great kid, too. So, I think it'll be a great fight. Ben Henderson's got his work cut out for him though.

Brian Stann: Oh, I've got to with Frankie Edgar, my Team Gaspari teammate. You know, both are great guys, amazing fighters, but Frankie -- I don't think Frankie knows how to lose. I don't think he does. I think he only knows how to win, man. With quickness, speed, great wrestling, counter-wrestling, I think he's gonna be hitting angles very similar to what he did to B.J. Penn. Because, if Ben Henderson can get his hands on you and make it a real physical fight, he tends to win those fights. He's a very physically dominant 155er, where Frankie is very slick. … I think speed's gonna be the key for Frankie in that one.
