Who Will Alan Belcher Fight Next?
Alan Belcher has put together a nice four-fight win streak since a 2009 loss to Yoshihiro Akiyama. Belcher has defeated all four of his opponent via TKO or submission, and his agent says he is in line for a major fight next.
Belcher (18-6) owns victories over Rousimar Palhares, Jason MacDonald, Patrick Cote and Wilson Gouveia over the past three years, missing substantial time with injuries. He has been with the UFC since 2006, holding a career record of 9-4.
"Love talking to (UFC matchmaker) Joe Silva about possible fights for my clients. Alan Belcher is gonna get a big fight soon!" Malki Kawa, the agent for Belcher, posted on Twitter Friday evening.
Belcher has been trying to make a push for a shot at UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Also, Michael Bisping has called out Belcher, and "The Talent" accepted almost right away. Nothing has been made official, but it appears news of a Belcher fight is coming sooner rather than later.
