We’ve all seen the video by now of Ariel Helwani interviewing WWE’s The Undertaker after Brock Lesnar’s loss to Cain Velasquez. During the interview Undertaker and Lesnar stared at each other, as Brock was walking out The Undertaker asked him, “You wanna do it?” This left many to wonder what was going on.
Was Brock leaving the UFC? Was he working on an angle for Wrestlemania? Or, did Lesnar and The Undertaker have serious beef? All these questions were answered when Dana White made this comment, “Brock Lesnar is still under contract with the UFC … he is not going to wrestle in the WWE. He cannot wrestle, box or fight anywhere else.”
With all that said it seemed that the issue was finally put to rest, until this past Monday night. On Monday Night Raw it seemed that during the broadcast footage was shown and Lesnar was mentioned throughout the night. It seems the WWE is trying to either bait the viewers that either Lesnar has something to do with their big Wrestlemania show, or they are trying to bait Lesnar.
Whatever the case may be it’s time for the WWE to get over it and realize it’s not going to happen. The only thing that could happen is Brock could show up as a guest or as, God forbid, a special-referee. It’s time for the WWE to take a look at themselves and realize they have a bad product and need to figure something out to save it.
They lost a lot when Shawn Michaels retired and now The Undertaker seems to be nearing the end of his career. But, instead of making new stars it seems they are trying to grasp on to yester year. This attempt to draw out a celebrity also failed when WWE tried to get Mickey Rourke to wrestle. It went nowhere and even though Rourke did show up to Wrestlemania it got little attention.
Brock is not going to Wrestlemania to fight; he has bigger problems, like working on his stand-up game. He has a contract with the UFC and they are not going to let their big money maker do anything to jeopardize his health.
WWE it’s time to start crawling and begging for The Rock.
