Video: USC Releases a Very Touching Tribute to Junior Seau

West Coast football legend Junior Seau was found dead in his Oceanside, Calif. home on Wednesday. Between the gunshot wound in his chest, the text messages he sent to his family a day earlier and his one prior suspected suicide attempt – all signs point to him having taken his own life.

Over the course of his illustrious 19-year NFL career, Seau played for the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. You could spend days listing all his accomplishments, but chief among them were his 12 Pro Bowl and 10 All Pro nods. He was also a member of the Chargers Hall of Fame, the franchise’s 50th Anniversary Team and the 1990s NFL All-Decade Team.

And yet, despite his endless accomplishments within the pro ranks, people in California will forever remember Seau for being one of the many legendary stars to don USC Trojans colors while playing college football. Not only did he live up to his renowned No. 55 while in school, he represented it well long after he had moved on to bigger and better things.

In his honor, USC released this touching tribute video recalling why everyone out here loved him the way they did.
