The Denver Nuggets may not have a superstar, per se, but they have something most teams would kill for: a couple of world class closers in Arron Afflalo and Ty Lawson.
Down by three, UCLA product (from when they were still good) Afflalo hit three clutch free throws with less than a second remaining in regulation to send the game into extra time. Four minutes and 58 seconds later (in game time), Lawson lifted up and hit a contested jumper that would prove to be the game-winner in Denver’s 119-116 victory.
Afflalo finished with 32 points and Lawson wound up with 16 points and 13 assists.
