When Stephen Curry signed his long-term extension this year, some folks expressed concern. These concerns weren’t based on questions regarding his skill level, mind you. It is more or less accepted that he is one of the most talented youngsters in the NBA today. Rather, the concerns stemmed from his inability to stay healthy.
Well, apparently Curry can stay healthy. And thanks to some big performances out of him over the past month, the Golden State Warriors are 14-7 on the year – good for fifth in the West Conference.
On Monday night, Golden State defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 104-96. Curry led the way for the winning side with 27 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. David Lee pitched in 25 points and 11 rebounds, too. All in all, five Warriors players finished in double figures.
Meanwhile, Kemba Walker led the way for Charlotte with 24 points on six-of-16 shooting. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Byron Mullens chipped in 17 points and 13 points, respectively.
