The Philadelphia Eagles flamed out against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night in relatively underwhelming fashion. New Orleans controlled this game from the onset, and aside from a portion of the third quarter, the final outcome never really looked like it was in doubt.
For what it’s worth, Philadelphia did show some signs of life on one play. A trick play, to be exact.
Check out what Riley Cooper and the gang tried to do on what would have been one of the coolest kick returns in recent memory:
Unfortunately, the 93-yard touchdown return didn’t count because the pass that Brandon Boykin threw to Cooper was a blatant forward pass. That play pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the Eagles’ season.
