Baseball fans yearning for the power hitting of the late 90s (preferably with less needles being put into people’s backsides) got a treat on Sunday when, for the first time since 1998, two players hit walk-off grand slams on the very same day. Not since Steve Finley and Mo Vaughn have a pair of guys been able to do what Giancarlo Stanton of the Miami Marlins and Joey Votto of the Cincinnati Reds ultimately did in their teams’ victories.

The Marlins ultimately wound up beating the New York Mets 8-4, and the Reds beat the Washington Nationals 9-6.
