After listening to one of Kevin Hart’s comedy routines once, I sat back and wondered what exactly this little guy was good at. It obviously wasn’t at telling jokes. It also clearly wasn’t at not being annoying.
Interestingly enough, the answer to my question wouldn’t come until very recently, when Hart and NBA high-flyer Shannon Brown opted to join Lisa Leslie and some other people for what I thought was a little hoops scrimmage session. During one particular play, as Brown attempted to get to the rim, the 5-foot-something Hart stripped him of the ball like it was nothing. The whole thing was met with sounds of amazement from the crowd.
It was a great moment.
Or so I thought. After a bit digging, though, I found this via Ball Junkie:
The pick-up game was shot as part of Hart’s new movie based on Steve Harvey’s book, “Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man,” due in theaters in 2012.
And no, Hart isn’t really trying to play in the NBA at the miniature height of 5’3. He’s a comedian, but he’s no fool.
So was this part of the movie? Gauging by the reaction it seemed as though the whole bit was real, but who knows?
Either way, check out Hart schooling Brown in the video below.
