Video: Josh Hamilton Hits 4 HRs During Rangers vs. Orioles

Slightly more than two weeks after Philip Humber of the Chicago White Sox thrilled baseball fans everywhere with a perfect game, Josh Hamilton opted to add his name in the record books as well. During Tuesday night’s Texas Rangers versus Baltimore Orioles showdown, Hamilton knocked four homers out of the ballpark en route to a 10-3 victory.

After the game, Hamilton admitted that this was a special outing for him.

“Obviously it’s, other than being in the World Series, the highlight of my big-league career,” Hamilton told reporters in Baltimore (via N.Y. Times). “I was saying after I hit two, I’ve never hit three in a game before, and what a blessing that was. Then to hit four is just an awesome feeling, to see how excited my teammates got.

“It reminds you of when you’re in Little League and a little kid, and just the excitement and why we play the game. Things like that. You never know what can happen.”

Check out all four of Hamilton’s homers in the video below.

Unsurprisingly, Hamilton and the Rangers have now reportedly re-started contract extension negotiations.

Jon Daniels wouldn't give details and didn't reveal any new info but reiterated that Rangers are working to extend Josh Hamilton long term
