The Los Angeles Lakers had Tuesday night’s game in the bag. They had a solid, very legitimate San Antonio Spurs team on the ropes, and all they had to do was make one final defensive stop.
As you can probably guess – they didn’t make the stop.
Down by one with less than 15 seconds remaining, San Antonio calmly moved the ball around the floor until it landed in Danny Green’s hands. With nobody guarding him and Kobe Bryant way too out of position to deter the shot, Green knocked down the go-ahead three that put his squad up by two. It was classic Spurs basketball from start to finish.
The Lakers followed up that perfect example of how to get a good shot with the game on the line by doing this. They ultimately ended up falling, at home, 84-82.
