A lot of people thought that Damian Lillard would be one of the NBA's better newcomers this season, but nobody expected for him to be this good this fast. On the year, the Weber State product is averaging 19 points and six assists per game, and he is doing it despite the fact that opposing defenses are really paying attention to him now.
On Sunday night, against the New Orleans Hornets, Lillard showed one and all once again why he is the favorite to win Rookie of the Year this season when he knocked down a sick game-winner to give his team a 95-94 victory.
Check it out:
Lillard finished the game with 16 points on five-of-14 shooting, but obviously his most consequential bucket was the one he hit at the very end.
