Video: Butler Beats Gonzaga Thanks to Roosevelt Jones Steal, Game-Winner

Don’t ever let anyone tell you that Butler doesn’t know how to put on a show. Over the last 25 or so seconds of their Saturday night showdown against No. 8 ranked Gonzaga, the Bulldogs somehow found a way to win the game, lose the game and then win it again in the most pulse-racing, heart-stopping way imaginable.

With 24 seconds remaining in the outing, Butler’s Alex Barlow nailed a clutch jumper to put Butler up by one and in great position to pull off the upset victory. Unfortunately, with about five seconds left to go, his team’s chances at victory seemed to vanish when Kelly Olynyk got two free throws and nailed them both to put Gonzaga up by one.

No problem – the Bulldogs still get one more shot, right? Wrong. Just as Barlow caught the ball and prepared to take it the other way, he got called for a travel.

Game over.

Or so it seemed.

With virtually no time left on the clock and the game seemingly decided, this happened:

And just like that, with the perfect cherry atop his 20-point showing, Roosevelt Jones became the biggest name in college basketball this weekend.
