One week into the 2012 college football season is probably too early to be awarding ‘Best of the Year’ prizes but, man, what Devin Smith did on Saturday was incredible.
In the second quarter of Urban Meyer’s first game as Ohio State’s head coach, Braxton Miller and Smith connected on a 23-yard beauty (on Smith’s end, not so much on Miller’s end) that LeBron James would later dub the “catch of the year.”
Was LeBron right with his assessment? Judge for yourselves:
Smith finished with two receptions for 31 yards, and Ohio State beat Miami (Ohio) 56-10.
