The Charlotte Bobcats are obviously better this year than they were last year, but on Monday night, they showed one and all that they still have some ways to go. Despite playing at home, the Bobcats fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 118-112 in overtime.
LaMarcus Aldridge led the way for Portland with 25 points (12-of-17 from the field) and 13 rebounds. Rookie of the Year candidate Damian Lillard chipped in 24 points and nine assists. All in all, four out of five Blazers starters finished in double figures. (J.J. Hickson, who played all of 12 minutes, was the lone exception.)
Meanwhile, Ben Gordon led the way for Charlotte with 29 points off the bench. Kemba Walked pitched in 22 points on nine-of-19 shooting, too.
