Video: 8 People Hurt in Shooting After Lakers vs. Thunder Game 5

What was supposed to be an evening of celebration quickly turned violent in Oklahoma City, when eight people were ultimately injured in a shooting that occurred following the Thunder’s Game 5 closeout victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

As is usually the case, the altercation started out small. According to Fox News, everything began with a group of girls running up on a crowd of guys a few blocks from Chesapeake Energy Arena. Then, before anyone knew what was actually happening, one of the men -- who was "run up on" -- opened fire on the girls.

Per the report:

"Some girls got into it with a group of guys, and the guys opened fire on the women," Capt. Dexter Nelson said.

One of the victims is said to be in critical condition, while the other seven apparently sustained injuries that are not life-threatening. According to NewsOK, a pregnant woman was also either kicked or hit in the abdomen.

A local resident was able to capture some video of the scene that unfolded after the shooting took place (via NewsOK):

No arrests have been made as of this point, but two people were detained.
