UFC on FUEL TV 2 Round-by-Round Review: DaMarques Johnson vs. John Maguire
Round 1: Johnson tags Maguire low to start, but it's not bad enough to halt the fight. Maguire shoots for the single right behind an overhand right and dumps Johnson to the mat. Johnson active off his back, threatening with an omoplata, footlock and armbar, before Maguire can tame him and settle back into guard. Maguire controlling Johnson now, passes to half guard. Maguire to side control. Johnson bucking, but Maguire keeping him pinned. Johnson fighting free, but Maguire one step ahead, threatens with the guillotine before taking Johnson's back. Maguire ends the round on Maguire's back.

Round 2: Maguire wallops Johnson with a big overhand left and drives into a single leg. Overzealous in his entry, Maguire is swept by Johnson. Maguire doing well in controlling Johnson's posture. He throws up his legs for a triangle, but allows Johnson to brush his legs off and take side mount in the process. Maguire gets to his knees and then his feet. Johnson goes inside with two leg kicks that have Maguire cringing. Johnson goes for a takedown that Maguire defends. Maguire goes for the shot and gets Johnson down with a single. Johnson gets in some good elbows from his back as Maguire plans his attack. Johnson rolls for a kimura as Maguire slides into half guard. Less than a minute to go. Johnson cranking hard for the kimura, as hard as he can, but Maguire defends and counters with an armbar. Johnson is forced to tap with about twenty seconds to go.
