UFC 168 Highlights: Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate II (Video)

From the moment that Ronda Rousey came out to “Bad Reputation” by Joan Jett, you knew that she was a woman possessed for UFC 168. Weeks upon weeks of hearing about how she was losing the Golden Girl glow that the UFC bestowed upon her when she first entered the organization had gotten to her. Miesha Tate’s constant blabbering, despite not having earned this title shot much in the way she accused Rousey of not earning hers, didn’t help. Rousey wanted to beat Tate, again, and she wanted to inflict serious damage in the process.

Mission accomplished.

Make no mistake about it, Rousey not closing Tate out in the first doesn’t mean a thing. She absolutely owned her throughout the entire fight, and in the process she managed to answer the only real question anyone had about her: What’s her stamina like past the first round?

Thankfully, we won’t ever have to hear about Rousey-Tate again. The latter was a great fighter, but she was never better than Rousey. It’s questionable if she’s even a top-five competitor at this point.
