UFC 155 Round-by-Round Review: Erik Perez vs. Byron Bloodworth

Our first of two bantamweight prelim bouts is next, as Erik Perez (12-4) puts his seven-fight win streak on the line against Byron Bloodworth (6-2). Kim Winslow will be the third person inside the Octagon.

Round 1: Bloodworth with a big right and Perez answers. A second overhand right by Bloodworth and they tie up, with Perez pushing Bloodworth against the fence. Large contingent of Mexican fans inside the arena, cheering Perez on. Elbow by Perez connects after a series of knees to the body. Clinch work and Perez drops Bloodworth and pounces. Big knee to the body damaged Bloodworth and Perez is in control on top.

Three minutes to go in the round. Perez working on Bloodworth with elbows to the face. Series of rights to the face by Perez and as he drops and attacks, that is all for Bloodworth. The ref steps in and ends this one after a series of uncontested shots by Perez.
