Tito Ortiz is Headed to the UFC Hall of Fame
Tito Ortiz will become the newest member of the UFC's Hall of Fame, UFC president Dana White confirmed to MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday. Ortiz will be inducted before UFC 148 when he faces Forrest Griffin.
"He pound-for-pound was doing some of the most damage at a time when we were hurting," White said. "But it's part of our history the way the storylines played out between me, Chuck (Liddell) and Tito. He's definitely a part of the history of the sport."
The UFC Fan Expo will take place the weekend of UFC 148 in July, allowing Ortiz a chance to become the ninth member of the HOF.
Ortiz won and defended the UFC light heavyweight title five times, a record that still stands.
