Thiago Alves has always been a fighter that many worry about come time to weigh-in for the fight. However, since being directed by Mike Dolce, "The Pitbull" seems to have found what works for him.
After hitting the scale on Thursday night (U.S. time) for his main event fight with Martin Kampmann at UFC on FX 2: Alves vs. Kampmann, Alves jumped back on the scale some three hours later just for fun. What came up was the number 197.6, meaning Alves added over 27 pounds in three hours. Dolce himself sent out the picture via Twitter.
While it is common for fighters to be much bigger from the time they weigh-in to the actual fight, Alves still has several hours remaining before he meets "The Hitman" inside the Octagon. It is likely that Alves will be weighing well over the light heavyweight limit of 205 by fight time.
