TCU Climbs AP Poll After Victory over Utah

With more Top 25 teams falling in their games on Saturday, the new Associated Press poll has taken on a different look once again. It appears as though the top teams in College Football are starting to make a claim atop the polls, but unfortunately for one, they remain undefeated and cannot make a positive move. Boise State’s lack of schedule strength is starting to take its toll on the Broncos.

As the new AP poll has just been released, TCU’s impressive win over Utah lifted the Horned Frogs to No.3 and also caused Auburn to move up behind No. 1 ranked Oregon. As far as Boise State goes, they fell two spots to No. 4. They kept their 7 first place votes, but dropped 37 points.

Oregon got 49 first-place votes in this week’s poll and 1,484 points which is just three less than last week. Auburn received the same amount of both first-place votes and points as they did last week.

LSU got a huge win over Alabama and this caused them to jump 7 spots to No. 5. This also makes the Tigers the highest ranked team with one loss. Alabama fell six spots to No. 11.

Wisconsin comes in at No.6 and is followed by Stanford, Ohio State, Nebraska and Michigan State to round out the top 10.

Three previously ranked teams fell out of the polls after losses on Saturday. Florida State and ACC rival North Carolina State were two and the other was Baylor.

Two teams jumped into the polls for the first time this season. Texas A&M is now ranked 23rd and UCF enters the polls for the first time in school history and No. 25. Florida also got back into the polls and is ranked 24th.

The ACC now only has one team in the Top 25 which is Virginia Tech at No.16. The SEC, however, leads all conferences with 7 teams ranked in the top 25. Below is a complete listing of the new AP Top 25 poll…
