Is Strikeforce's November Card Still Going to Happen?

Oklahoma Athletic Commission representative Aleta Billings informed recently that Strikeforce has yet to apply for a promoter's license to host a card in November. Billings added that it is not unreasonable for a promotion to wait until a couple of weeks out before applying.

The representative also stated that the commission does not expect any issues with giving the permit. Strikeforce has come under fire recently due to several injuries forcing marquee fighters off the planned card.

"Once we receive the paperwork, it's pretty much that day that the promoter's license is issued," Billings said. "I believe a couple of weeks ago, the (OAC) director, Joe Miller, received a call from Strikeforce verifying again the date."

Strikeforce has yet to announce a replacement for Frank Mir in the main event vs. Daniel Cormier. Also, reports that Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold will not be able to compete at the card have circulated in the past few days.
