Stipe Miocic Hands Shane Del Rosario First Loss at UFC 146
Several elbows left Shane Del Rosario bloodied and beaten Saturday night, as Stipe Miocic remained undefeated in his MMA career with a victory at UFC 146: Dos Santos vs. Mir.
Miocic improved to 9-0 with the victory, while Del Rosario fell to 11-1 in his career. Del Rosario was making his UFC debut after coming over from Strikeforce.
The Croatian dropped Del Rosario and proceeded to land several uncontested elbows that cut up the face of his grounded opponent.
"Keep throwing them," said Miocic, of his constant barrage of elbows. "(I was looking for the referee) to stop the fight. I wanted to get it done."
Del Rosario was making his return to action after a car accident in 2011 that left his career hanging in the balance.
