Ex-New York Jets sideline reporter Jenn Sterger met with the NFL today to discuss Brett Favre’s inappropriate voicemails and text messages that she received, the New York Post has learned. This meeting would be needed if the NFL were to discipline Favre in any way.
We still aren’t sure that there will be any discipline for Favre from anyone other than his wife Deanna. Remember that one of Sterger’s friends came out and said that the two saw the inappropriate text messages and had a good laugh over them. It doesn’t seem that any harrassment was taking place.
Sterger met today with NFL security chief Milt Ahlerich with her attorney Joseph Conway, and her manager, Phil Reese.
“We can confirm that a meeting took place with the NFL today and we cooperated fully by providing them with substantial materials in our possession,” Reese told The Post.
“We now await the NFL’s decision.”
We’ll see what happens, but we still think Deanna is the one Favre should be worried about. Here’s a question: Would a suspension for sexual harassment break his consecutive starts record?
