San Francisco Giants to Ban 'Culturally Insensitive' Fan Clothing (Video)

Some baseball fans like to dress in outrageous clothing when they go to a game.

However, the San Francisco Giants are going to ban fans from wearing what they call “culturally insensitive” clothing at AT&T Park.

“We want to make sure that our fans are respectful of each other and the different backgrounds that everyone comes from,” Giants’ Sr. Vice President Staci Slaughter told CBS San Francisco (video below).

The new rule stems from an incident a few weeks ago when two Native American fans told a Caucasian fan (who later claimed Choctaw heritage) to remove an Indian headdress that he was wearing during "Native American Heritage Night."

According to The S.F. Examiner, the headdress incident grew so intense that the two Native American fans had to be removed by police from AT&T Park.

The Giants apologized to the two Native American fans and promised it would not happen again.

The Giants have not released specific guidelines yet as to what can and cannot be worn by fans to the ballpark.
