Ross Pearson is Looking to Make a Statement at UFC on FX 6

Ross Pearson and George Sotiropoulos had very few friendly conversations during their time as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes. So, this evening at UFC On FX: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson, the two lightweights get the opportunity to work out their differences inside the Octagon.

The bout will be the main event from Australia, with a pair of TUF: The Smashes tournament champions crowned, as well.

Pearson, a former winner of The Ultimate Fighter, believes his power will be the difference in this upcoming fight.

"It is a great style of fighting. He is the classic grappler, I am the classic striker," Pearson said. "He knows where he wants to put the fight. I know where I want to put the fight. He has to be wary of everything I am going to do. It isn't as simple as hitting pads; everything I throw is hard."

Pearson (13-6) decided to return to lightweight after a stint as a featherweight. He was knocked out by Cub Swanson earlier this year, and has alternated wins and losses in each of his last six fights.

"He is going to throw his strikes to set up his takedowns, to try to put me on my back," Pearson said. "I have so many angles and fast footwork."
