Ronda Rousey's Big Win Even Impressed Dana White

UFC president Dana White is so far sticking to his guns in regards to women's mixed martial arts, believing the talent pool to be too shallow to sustain interest and continually put on exciting, legitimate fights.

While he hasn't exactly changed his mind, White did admit at today's UFC on Fox: Diaz vs. Miller pre-fight press conference that he was very impressed by Ronda Rousey's performance over the weekend and believes the Judo Olympian is destined to shine bright.

"I've been saying for a long time about the women's division, there aren't enough good women to create an entire division but, every once in awhile, you're gonna have these one-off fights between two women that are very good and that happened last weekend," said White.

"It was a great fight. I think it was big for women's mixed martial arts and I think Ronda Rousey's gonna be a big star."

Rousey faced Miesha Tate at the top of a Strikeforce card to dispute the women's bantamweight championship in a long-awaited grudge match. Rousey dispatched of Tate in the first round with an armbar, as she's done her other four professional opponents.
