Roger Bowling vs. Tarec Saffiedine

Two welterweights looking to make an impact hit the cage next, as Roger Bowling (11-2) battles Tarec Saffiedine (12-3). The third man inside the cage will be Jason Herzog.

Round 1: Saffiedine grabs Bowling's head and lands some nice, quick strikes. Bowling with a nice kick and follows with a strike to the face and a liver shot. Saffiedine with a huge knee, as Bowling fires in with a 1-2 combo. Another knee by Saffiedine, and a third to the top of the head. A fourth knee, and a fifth by Saffiedine, but Bowling withstands them and tries for a takedown. Elbow to the back of the head by Bowling. Bowling is the aggressor, coming at Saffiedine with everything he has.

Round 2: Another slip, as something appears to be causing issues on the mat. We now have an eye poke by Saffiedine on Bowling. Saffiedine looking great on offense now, connecting on a three-move combo. Not a lot of action from either man, as Bowling continues to use his speed to avoid any major damage. Saffiedine, meanwhile, seems content to wait for the right opening. Strong uppercut by Saffiedine to finish off the round.

Round 3: Bowling answers a jab with a left-right combo that backs Saffiedine up. Knee to the face by Saffiedine and Bowling pushes him up against the fence. Bowling still looking for a liver strike. Bowling comes in and eats a knee to the face again, about the 10th time that has happened so far. Inside leg kick by Saffiedine, as he seems the fresher of the two right now. Bowling goes for a takedown, but Saffiedine catches himself and remains upright, turning Bowling against the fence. Bowling lands a nice right on the exit, but Saffiedine answers back. We go under a minute, as Bowling lands a pair of lefts and shoots for a takedown but Saffiedine sprawls it off and takes his back. Saffiedine locks in a leg hook and is now landing strikes to the face of Bowling. The round ends with Saffiedine locking in a choke, but Bowling showing he's fine.
