Rick Story is Glad that He isn't Fighting for His Job at UFC 153
Rick Story (14-5) walks into tonight's fight with a little more certainty about his UFC future. After losing in his UFC debut, Story racked up six consecutive wins before losing two in a row in 2011. Earlier this year he snapped his losing streak.
"I don't have the chop block in front of me and I'm ready to go in and win that fight," said Story to MMA Fighting.
He takes on Demian Maia (16-4) on tonight's UFC 153 card. Maia walks into what will be his 14th UFC fight. He is 10-4 under the UFC name and once challenged for the middleweight championship.
Story looks at this fight as a way to start fresh.
"I always prepare myself to win my fights," said Story. "I got a clean slate and am ready to go and throw down."
UFC 153 takes place later today from Brazil and FightLine.com will be there providing live coverage.
