Renee Forte Explains What a Victory at UFC 153 Would Mean for Him
Renee Forte (7-1) hopes a win tonight at UFC 153 will give him the chance to stay with Team Nogueira. Earlier in the year Forte agreed to fight under Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (33-7-1-1 NC) and his team in Brazil, but due to financial reasons he hasn't been able to move permanently to the country.
"I haven't been able to afford the move to Rio yet," said Forte to MMA Junkie. "But Team Nogueira is giving me every possible means of assistance to allow me to remain in Rio. Hopefully after this fight, I'll be able to manage things on my own."
Heading into the fight, Forte will be making his UFC debut and looks to rebound after his six fight winning streak came to an end. He last competed in May 2011. His opponent, Sergio Moraes (6-2) will be looking to earn his first UFC win.
The two will fight on tonight's UFC 153 preliminary card that will air on FX starting at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
