I can’t say this is shocking. The Oakland Raiders used a 2012 third-round pick on Terrell Pryor out of Ohio State. Pryor was the only player selected in today’s Supplemental Draft.
The move makes perfect sense. Al Davis loves guys with great physical tools. Can you throw far? Can you run fast? Great, you’re hired.
Pryor is suspended for the first five games of the season thanks to Roger Goodell, who felt the need to translate a BS NCAA violation into an NFL suspension. When he comes back, we’ll see if Trent Edwards gets the ax.
