Paul Daley Injured, Won't Fight at Bellator 79
The Bellator 79 card just took a nasty hit as Paul Daley (30-12-2) joins Eduardo Dantas (14-3) as the latest to be pulled from the show.
A spokesperson told MMA Fighting that visa issues were to blame for Daley missing the show. Bellator was unable to have Daley travel from his country of England to Canada. The company made the call to leave his Bellator return off until 2013 when they move to Spike TV.
Daley won in his Bellator debut in July, securing the win via TKO within three minutes of the first round.
Dantas continues to heal after suffering a concussion outside of Bellator. He was KO'd in round one by Tyson Nam (12-4) at a charity show in Brazil. Dantas' welterweight championship wasn't on the line.
No replacement fighters have been named.
Bellator 79 takes place November 2 from Canada.
